ClearVoice Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

ClearVoice is a voice clarity and background noise removal app for iOS. This privacy policy explains how we handle your information when you use ClearVoice.

2. Information We Collect

ClearVoice is designed with privacy in mind. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data.

2.1 Audio Data

  • Recordings: Audio you record or import is stored locally on your device only. Audio files never leave your device.
  • Processed Audio: Enhanced audio files are created and stored locally on your device only.

2.2 Information We Do Not Collect

  • We do not collect personal information
  • We do not collect location data
  • We do not collect device identifiers for tracking
  • We do not use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs
  • We do not transmit audio data to any server
  • We do not require an account or sign-in

3. On-Device Processing

All audio processing in ClearVoice happens entirely on your device using Apple's native frameworks (AVFoundation and Accelerate). No audio data is sent to external servers or cloud services. Your recordings and enhanced files remain private and under your control at all times.

4. Microphone Access

ClearVoice requests access to your device's microphone solely for the purpose of recording audio within the app. Microphone access is only used when you actively tap the Record button. You can revoke microphone access at any time in your device's Settings.

5. Third-Party Services

5.1 Apple StoreKit

  • In-App Purchases: ClearVoice uses Apple's StoreKit framework to manage subscriptions. Purchase transactions are handled entirely by Apple. Apple Privacy Policy

ClearVoice does not integrate any other third-party services, SDKs, or analytics tools.

6. Data Storage

All data is stored locally on your device:

  • Audio files (recorded and processed) are stored in the app's Documents directory
  • Preferences (such as onboarding completion) are stored in UserDefaults
  • Subscription status is managed by Apple's StoreKit and stored on your device

Deleting the app removes all locally stored data.

7. Data Sharing

ClearVoice does not share any data with third parties. When you use the Export/Share feature, you choose where to send your processed audio file using the standard iOS share sheet. ClearVoice has no visibility into or control over where you share your files.

8. Children's Privacy

ClearVoice does not collect personal information from any user, including children under 13. The app is safe for use by all ages.

9. Your Rights

Since ClearVoice stores all data locally on your device and does not collect personal information:

  • Access: All your audio files are accessible in the app
  • Deletion: Delete the app to remove all stored data, or delete individual files from within the app
  • Control: You can revoke microphone access at any time in iOS Settings

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected with an updated "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.
